My name is Leighann and I'm a freelance data visualization designer.
As an artistically inclined mathematics enthusiast, I’ve always been interested in the intersection of aesthetics and logic and sought balance between the two. In college I spent half of my time in a mathematics classroom and half in an art studio.
I began my career as an actuarial consultant where I conveyed complex, technical topics to a non-technical audience using visuals, examples and user interaction.
Now I work with code, data and design to create engaging, interactive user experiences — experiences that impart the compelling stories behind the data. Well-executed design and interactive programming bring data to life and captivate an audience in ways words alone cannot.
